Streams
Everything that makes your favorite tool even better, smarter and special belongs in this APEX connect stream. Tell us about your experiences with a specific APEX-related topic in a short deep dive. Of course, everyone wants to hear about the latest tech innovations, but older techniques (e.g. Dynamic Actions) or peripheral topics (such as debugging) are also welcome, as the foundation of every APEX application also consists of over 20 years of successful application development – and topics that do not fit either PL/SQL or Solutions are also included here. Want some examples?
- Process model for software development
- Latest Javascript trends
- Soft Skills
- a real low-code alternative
This conference stream is dedicated to SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle 23ai! We are looking for contributions ranging from basics to advanced techniques and innovative approaches. Share your knowledge on performance tuning, best practices, new features or creative PL/SQL solutions with the international APEX community in a fabulous location. Whether practice-oriented examples, deep dives or use cases – we are looking for inspiring presentations that offer our participants real added value.
If you have an APEX application that you want to explain in more detail from different perspectives, this is your stream. The focus here is on how you achieved the goal – or perhaps did not achieve it. Your experiences from a specific APEX project are in demand:
- maybe the process model
- the professional and technical challenges
- the visual highlights
- the human factor
- the external circumstances
- dependencies on other projects
- the application tests
- reasons why the old application had to be replaced
- everything that has particularly helped or harmed your APEX project is in good hands here.
Keynote Speaker
Connor McDonald 🇦🇺 | Connor is a renowned Oracle expert from Australia and has been a leading figure in the international database community for many years. As a long-standing evangelist for Oracle database technologies, he inspires developers worldwide with his practical approach and in-depth technical expertise. Connor is known for his engaging yet highly informative presentations, in which he explains complex topics in a way that is easy to understand and immediately applicable.
Connors Keynote → The Innovation Continues - More 26ai features, More 100% demo, Zero Slides | Following last year’s huge success, Connors’ fully demo-based session is back – featuring a whole new range of exciting features centred around 26ai. Instead of slides and theory, participants can look forward to a hands-on live session using the database tools they already know and use every day.
The focus is on how 26ai takes the development of modern applications and database management to a whole new level – from AI-powered features to a host of other innovations for developers. Alongside the current AI hype, Connor also highlights many non-AI-related features that help developers create powerful and future-proof APEX applications.

Karen Cannell 🇺🇸 | Karen is Chief Technology Officer at TH Technology and one of the world’s leading experts on Oracle APEX and database-centric application development. For over 30 years, she has been using Oracle technologies to develop business-critical solutions for the public sector, healthcare and industry. As an Oracle ACE Director, she is actively involved in the international developer community, speaks regularly at conferences and provides practical insights into modern low-code and database platforms.
Karens Keynote [auf Englisch] → Seriously SELCET AI | The keynote presentation introduces the latest features of SELECT AI in the Oracle AI Database – an innovative way to interact with data using natural language. Instead of writing SQL exclusively, users can formulate questions that are automatically translated into queries or understandable answers. The session shows how SELECT AI simplifies data work: from generating and analysing SQL to AI-powered application functions, multilingual translations, summaries and the creation of synthetic test data.
Demonstrations will show how SELECT AI is set up, used and optimised to increase productivity and enable AI-supported functions such as summaries, translations or synthetic test data directly from the database.
Keynote Speaker
Carsten Czarski 🇩🇪 | Carsten has been working for Oracle Germany since 2001, initially as a systems consultant in the field of database-supported applications. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Oracle APEX platform development team and serves as an architect. He is also heavily involved in the professional community, for example as a representative of DOAG, where he was awarded the title of “DOAG Ambassador” in 2015. Czarski is a frequent speaker at conferences and is considered an important contact for APEX and database-centric development projects.
Carsten's Keynote → Low-code with APEX 2026 – The State of Play | Low-code has evolved from a niche market to become mainstream in IT in recent years – fast and efficient application development, even without in-depth programming knowledge, is always in demand. APEX has been doing low-code since 2004 – typical requirements in the corporate environment, such as handling large amounts of data, integrating different systems and high security, have always been the focus of the APEX development team.
The presentation provides an overview of the topics that will be important for APEX in 2026. This naturally includes the combination of APEX with artificial intelligence (AI), the new low-code language “APEXlang” that has already been mentioned at many conferences, but also many other innovations that the APEX team has built into the engine or will build in: New functions for components such as Interactive Reports, Map Regions and Dynamic Actions will be covered, as will REST integration, PL/SQL APIs and other functions that are useful in everyday environments. Of course, there will also be an insight into current topics being addressed by the APEX development team.
