Fried Saacke

DOAG

      Fried Saacke is CEO of DOAG and managing director of DOAG Dienstleistungen GmbH as well as chairman of iJUG e.V. In 1997, Fried Saacke got to know DOAG as a visitor to the 10th German ORACLE user conference and one year later founded and built up the Berlin / Brandenburg regional group.

       

      As early as 1999 he was elected to the board of the DOAG and led the association as chairman of the board until June 2008. Since then, Saacke has devoted himself full-time to the DOAG and, as managing director, is responsible for the entire operational business of the association. At the same time he is still a member of the DOAG board and takes on representative and strategic tasks for the association.

       

      "My goal is to make the DOAG known at Oracle and in the market as well as to bring users to the DOAG, to convince them of membership and to motivate them to actively participate." stresses Fried Saacke. "For the future, I wish for the DOAG that we succeed in implementing our ambitious goals. I stand for an economically and legally independent association as well as for a constructive-critical dialogue with Oracle."

       

      On December 1st, 2009 Fried Saacke was at the Founding meeting of the interest group of Java User Groups eV (iJUG) elected its chairman and has held this honorary position ever since. "In this role it is my goal to represent the common interests of the Java User Groups in German-speaking countries." In the meantime, more than 40 Java user groups have come together in iJUG e.V. The association represents over 35,000 Java developers.

       

      In his free time, Fried Saacke works as an emergency paramedic for the Bavarian Red Cross in the rescue and first aid service.
