Absolutely! Once again, we invite you to join us for our popular early morning exercise session at APEX connect 2026 – the 5K Fun Run! Start your day with a refreshing 5-kilometre run and enjoy the morning atmosphere around Heide Park Soltau before the conference begins.

Is there an evening event?

Of course – there are two!

Monday, May 18 | At the end of the first day of the APEX connect 2026 + DOAG Database with Cloud Infrastructure conference, a special event awaits you: Silent Disco at Captain Hook in Heide Park Soltau – and before that, refreshments will be provided.

  • 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: Dinner together at a local restaurant.
     
  • From 9:00 p.m.: Silent disco at Captain Hook! Put on your headphones in the cosy adventure setting of Captain Hook to enjoy the cool stereo sound at your own volume and let the DJ music carry you away – take them off when you need a break or meet friends to chat with them and enjoy a beer, wine or delicious cold drink. It's the perfect mix of dancing and talking!
     

Tuesday, May 19 | At the end of the second day of the APEX connect 2026 conference, a Party & Gaming Night awaits you at Captain Hook in Heide Park Soltau – and once again, refreshments will be provided.

  • 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: Dinner together at the Piratenburger restaurant.
     
  • From 9:00 p.m.: Party & Gaming Night at Captain Hook!

Where will APEX connect 2026 take place?

APEX connect 2026 will take place at Heide Park Soltau. You can get there by bus, train or plane to Hanover.

From Hanover train station and Hanover airport, you can use our shuttle service Heide Park Express by DOAG with the appropriate ticket. It will take you to our event location – and back again!

Where can I park and how much does it cost?

Heide Park Resort has two large car parks with space for 8,000 cars, 300 buses and numerous motorhomes.

  • Day ticket for cars, vans and motorcycles: €14 per day
     
  • Day ticket for motorhomes, cars with caravans and camper vans: €20 per day

 

Can I use public transport with my conference ticket?

No. Your conference ticket for APEX connect 2026 does not include a ticket for public transport. You must purchase this separately or for the Heide Park Express by DOAG from Hanover station or airport. Information on public transport and general travel to Heide Park Soltau can be found on the park operator's website under Travel.


Gastronomy

Where shall I eat on Monday and Tuesday evenings?

The restaurant for Monday evening dinner is still to be confirmed. The restaurant for Tuesday evening is called Piratenburger. We hope you enjoy your meal.


NextGen

What are the requirements for taking part in the NextGen programme?

You must be either a student or trainee and apply for a free membership with DOAG. If you don't have a membership yet, you can apply for one here. You can find more information on our NextGen page.


Profile

How do I access my profile?

You can access your user profile here. Under the "Login" tab at the top right, you can log in with your registered email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here. Please use the email address you registered with at APEX connect 2025. If you don't know it anymore, please contact our customer service.


Program

How can I mark individual presentations as favourites?

Use the favourites function in the agenda to create your own personal schedule for APEX connect 2026. You don't even need to be logged in to a user profile to do this.

In the program, you will find the option to select your favourites for each presentation using the ⭐️ star icon ⭐️.

However, it is worth logging into your personal account: this allows you to save your favourites centrally and access them on any device.

How can I access the 2026 on-demand program?

All presentations – except workshops & DevTalks – will be recorded. The recordings will be available to all participants free of charge in the agenda approximately one week after the event. Simply log in to your profile, select a talk, scroll down and play the recording.

For anyone who missed APEX connect 2026, our on-demand ticket is available in our shop, which gives you access to all recordings and presentation slides for at least one year.


Speaker

When and how do I submit my presentation? When is the briefing for speakers?

As a main speaker, you take part in the entire APEX event at Heide Park Soltau free of charge and have the opportunity to attend many presentations and take part in the evening event. 

At the conference, you will benefit from the synergy of the APEX-connect network, exchange ideas with other participants and make new contacts from all over the world. 

Here are the most important things:

The acceptances and rejections of your submissions were sent by email by the end of January 2026. Thank you very much for your participation!

In case of acceptance please upload your presentation documents as a PDF file with a maximum size of 10 MB by May 11, 2026

  • Log in to your profile at https://my.doag.org/ with your access data.
     
  • Under the tab "Login" you can log in with your registered email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it at https://my.doag.org/resetpassword/.
     
  • Please use the e-mail address with which you registered at APEX connect or submitted your presentation. If you no longer know your email address, please contact office@~@doag.org.
     
  • After logging in, you can upload your presentation documents under "My presentations". Please note that your files are publicly available.

A briefing for speakers will be made available in good time for APEX connect 2026 at Heide Park Soltau that includes technical requirements, the organisational process and all the information you need to ensure that everything runs smoothly and professionally.

What you bring yourself:

  • Your laptop! We do not provide a computer.
  • You work with a Mac? Then please remember to plug in the appropriate adapters.

As a speaker of APEX connect 2026, you participate in the entire event free of charge and have the opportunity to attend other lectures as well. After the event, you can use the lectures that were recorded and the content that is available with our on-demand offer.

Registration

How does registration work?

Participants can register at the main entrance to the conference at the following times:

  • Monday – May 18 | From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
     
  • Tuesday – May 19 | From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
     
  • Wednesday – 20 May | From 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Tickets

Where and when will I receive my ticket?

As a visitor, you can already book tickets for APEX connect 2026 in the APEX Shop!

Via your profile (see description above), you can then view all your events under "Tickets and Accommodation", download your conference ticket and have it scanned digitally on site with your smartphone or tablet. To do this, select "APEX connect 2026 event" and click on the red "more" icon under "Actions".

If you still prefer a physical ticket, which can also serve as your name badge, please print it out yourself in advance and bring it with you. We will provide you with suitable sleeves including lanyards on site.

If you are using your ticket on your smartphone, please ensure that your smartphone is always sufficiently charged. You can find out how to access your profile in the Profile section (see above).
 

I can't download my ticket. What should I do?

If the ticket download is not activated, this may be due to the following reason: Have you already paid for your ticket? If not, please make the payment as soon as possible. You can also pay for your ticket at the box office on site, but please allow a little extra time during peak hours. Your ticket will only be activated once payment has been made. If none of the above applies, please contact our customer service team.


I would like to book several tickets for my colleagues. What do I have to do for this?

Ideally, your colleagues should book their tickets for APEX connect 2026 independently via their own profile.

If this is not possible, you can purchase as many tickets as you like and then assign them to individual colleagues and manage the collective order in your user account. A user profile of the persons to whom a ticket is to be assigned is necessary for the ticket assignment – it is not possible without this. Your colleagues can register here.

Afterwards, your colleagues can view and edit their event information in their own profile.


I have booked tickets for several colleagues, but these tickets are not stored in their profiles. What can I do?

If you have placed an order for your colleagues, you can manage the collective order in your user account. Please note that the tickets will only be activated after payment. If this step has already been taken, please contact our customer service.

After the tickets have been allocated, your colleagues will find their ticket in their profile – please note: they need their own profile for this.


Can I still buy a ticket on site?

Yes, this is possible.


Accomodation

What accommodation options do I have?

We offer you the opportunity to book your overnight stays directly at Europa Park (at Hotel El Andaluz or Kronasar) via our contingent in the  APEX connect Shop. Please note that our terms and conditions for tickets for participants also apply to overnight stays.

Overnight stays at the Eurpopa-Park Hotel-Resort can also be booked directly at Europa-Park. Europa-Park also offers individual nights. Click here to go to the Europa-Park booking portal. 

An individual transfer from the hotel resort to the conference centre is offered free of charge:

  • via Europa-Park Express (monorail)
  • via shuttle bus from Hotel Kronasar
  • in the morning and evening on the DOAG shuttle service
 
Accommodation offers in Rust

There are many other accommodation options in Rust that can be booked via the usual portals or directly at the hotels.


WiFi

How does it work with the WiFi?

Free WiFi is of course available throughout the conference and for hotel guests. We will announce the password on site.
